"Logansteno: Bought a VW?" (logansteno)

The Monroe rear shocks we ordered came today. So after my little cousins birthday party we installed them.
Holt shit, the ride quality is 1,000,000x better. No more hitting a bump and it bouncing two or three times afterwards. We're pretty sure the shocks were original to the car. Which is terrible.
Tomorrow the glove box goes back in as well as tracking down a water leak. Hopefully it's nothing major.
sm70- why not Duesenberg?

The first time I ever got to use my ski condom, which I never thought I'd use, was last week for my friends hockey sticks. Then I discovered that it was even more fun to just stick them out the sunroof and get weird looks.

Nice! The crazy expensive magnetic shocks on our Cadillac died over the summer, and the day we got them replaced was amazing. My wife was ready to sell it, and went back to loving it. It made a huge difference.
(It also made a huge difference to my wallet - OUCH! I could have bought coilovers for the M3 for a lot less).
I replaced the shocks on my M3 around 130k. I did it because they were starting to leak, and I was told they wouldn't pass track inspection, but I honestly couldn't tell the difference afterward, and I had also done all the bushings for the suspension at the same time. Though another 35k would have had then very, very dead.
I've done my whole cooling system (some parts more than once). Let me know if you need ideas of where to look to find a leak.
